and read and learn and here they’re encountering 
whatever went by. And we had as I say the top. So 
we started asking the top people in every field, 
especially the sciences, “How do you make 
scientific statements in your field? What do you 
have to do? See, we have this problem.” And we’d 
explain what our problem was, and they’d hum and 
ha and mutter and so on, and it was astounding. 
Two years and nobody could tell us how to make a 
statement in a scientific manner. All these people 
do it all the time. They make their living being 
scientists and they can’t tell you how to make a 
scientific statement. It grew to be quite a game.
